Different types of hair are intrinsically determined by genetics and have evolved and adapted to different regions around the globe to give the best coverage. Currently, a wide variety of hair typologies exist due to the crossing between races. Among the different types of hair, three main groups can be found: Caucasian, Asian and Negroid. Each one of them has distinct features and the knowledge of their properties and behavior is important to develop targeted products but always considering trends, cosmetic preferences and the habits of personal care among the different cultures.
