SHITAL BHANUSHALI

I am a national award-winning science communicator with a strong academic and interdisciplinary research
experience acquired through esteemed institutions such as UPO, UMH, IISER-TVM, DAE-CEBS (University of
Mumbai), CSIR-NIScPR, and Vigyan Prasar (Ministry of S&T). I bring expertise in cosmetic science,
biotechnology, microbiology, epigenetics, and science communication. With an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong
commitment to sustainable innovation, I am passionate about the personal care industry and excel at strategic
thinking to bridge the gap between science and society. I have extensively worked with the Government of India
towards developing citizen outreach strategies to connect grassroot-level innovators with STI ecosystem. Currently,
I am enrolled in the European Master’s in Translational Cosmetics and Dermatological Science (EMOTION) as an
Erasmus Mundus Scholar funded by the European Commission, working towards my entrepreneurial goals.
